According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the new guidelines state that only those who are healthy and energetic will be allowed to go on Hajj pilgrimage. People suffering from complex kidney, heart, lung, liver disease and cancer will not be allowed to perform Hajj.

Additionally, patients with dementia and infectious diseases such as TB, tuberculosis, and whooping cough will also be barred from performing Hajj.
The spokesperson also clarified that children below 12 years of age and pregnant women will not be allowed to perform Hajj. These new restrictions are aimed at protecting the health of pilgrims during extreme weather conditions.
Vaccination against various diseases has been made mandatory for the pilgrims.
Prior to Hajj, pilgrims must be vaccinated against meningitis, coronavirus, seasonal influenza, and polio to prevent the spread of these diseases.
These new rules and regulations of the Saudi government are designed to ensure that the health and safety of every pilgrim is taken care of during Hajj.
