Preparations to mark Saudi Arabia’s 95th National Day with great enthusiasm and grandeur are in full swing. Both citizens and expatriates will be able to equally participate in the celebrations of this historic day.
This day commemorates the historic royal decree issued in 1932 by the founder of the Kingdom, King Abdulaziz bin Saud, through which Najd and Hejaz were unified into a new state under the name of Saudi Arabia.
It is noteworthy that the National Day was officially celebrated for the first time in 1965 during the reign of King Faisal, and in 2005, King Abdullah declared it a permanent public holiday.
This year’s National Day carries the theme: "We Proudly Belong to Our Roots", reflecting the Saudi people s traditional values, cultural heritage, and natural beauty.
According to the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), the slogan highlights traits such as hospitality, generosity, courage, and resilience of the Saudi people.

Major cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam will see their landmark buildings lit up in green, while shopping malls and public spaces will host special entertainment activities for the public.
It is worth mentioning that every year, Saudi citizens and expatriates express their joy and patriotism on National Day by waving the green flag and dressing in national colors, celebrating with devotion and pride.
