Pakistani citizen sentenced to death in Mecca for Heroin Smuggling

RIYADH (Web Desk): A Pakistani citizen was sentenced to death in Mecca for the crime of heroin smuggling.

According to the Saudi News Agency, the Ministry of Interior has issued a statement that a criminal has been sentenced to death for drug smuggling in Mecca.

According to the Ministry of Interior, Pakistani citizen Bakhtiar Zeb was arrested for smuggling heroin into the country. The competent court had sentenced the convict to death, which was also upheld by the Supreme Court.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, the criminal was executed in Mecca on Sunday.

The Ministry of Interior further stated that the Saudi government s policy against such crimes is very strict and drug trafficking criminals are dealt with strictly.

Saudi authorities say that legal action will continue against drug trafficking criminals in the kingdom to protect society from the scourge of drugs.

This incident reflects the fact that Saudi Arabia recognizes the severity of laws against drug trafficking and similar crimes, and has very harsh sentences for such offenders that are strictly enforced.
