MUSCAT (Web Desk): Oman’s Ministry of Labor has clearly stated for all foreigners, including Pakistanis, residing in Oman that after July 31, 2025, no foreigner will be allowed to stay in Oman without a renewed visa.

Those who do not renew their visas by this date will have to pay heavy fines or be deported.

The final notice issued by the Ministry of Labor stated that this grace period is now about to end, all foreign citizens, employers, and employees should immediately renew their visa documents, or else leave the country.

All applications will be submitted through the official digital platform and approved service centers. No applications will be accepted after July 31, 2025.

It should be noted that this announcement is part of the amnesty package launched in January 2025, under which the Omani government approved a package of 60 million Omani riyals (approximately $156 million). Its aim is to balance the labor market, eliminate illegal residence, and protect the rights of employers and employees.

This initiative will help regularize and streamline the labor market, while also providing foreigners with the opportunity to obtain legal status.

On the other hand, all Pakistanis in Oman have been asked to take this date seriously and not delay in renewing their visas, otherwise they will not only suffer financial losses but may also face legal action.
