TEHRAN: (Web Desk) As tensions between the two countries escalate, Iranian authorities have executed an individual convicted of spying for Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, according to state media.

The execution, carried out following a full criminal trial and affirmation by Iran’s Supreme Court, highlights the intensifying shadow war between Tehran and Tel Aviv.

While the identity of the executed individual remains undisclosed, Iranian authorities confirmed that the person was convicted of espionage and sabotage in favor of the Israeli regime.

The announcement coincided with reports of further arrests. Sa’eed Montazer al-Mahdi, spokesperson for Iran’s Police Command, stated that two Mossad operatives were apprehended in Fashafuyeh, located in Tehran Province’s Ray County.

During the operation, security forces confiscated over 200 kilograms of explosives, parts for 23 drones, launchers, and various other materials. A Nissan pickup truck used by the suspects was also seized.

“These agents were intercepted before they could execute acts of sabotage inside Iran,” Montazer al-Mahdi confirmed.

On the same day, two additional suspected Mossad agents were arrested in Savojbolagh County in Alborz Province, near Tehran. Officials suspect they were part of a broader Israeli plot involving small, weaponized drones designed to destabilize the country.

Since June 13, Iranian officials have repeatedly accused Mossad of orchestrating a string of sabotage operations inside Iran, following Israeli airstrikes on multiple locations, including civilian areas — strikes Iran has condemned as unprovoked aggression.

In a forceful response, Iran launched missiles and drones deep into Israeli territory, striking Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, and other key cities. These attacks have reportedly disrupted daily life, forcing many Israeli residents to seek shelter in underground bunkers.

The Iranian government has vowed to dismantle all Mossad-linked networks operating within its borders, claiming that the latest arrests demonstrate the heightened alertness of its intelligence forces amid rising regional tensions.
