Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said that under the Chief Minister s Laptop Scheme, the latest laptops will be distributed to 110,000 students. The university students from public sector educational institutions will be eligible to apply. Students from the first and second semesters of graduation programme will be eligible for the laptop scheme.

Rana Sikandar Hayat further stated that students will receive the latest 13th-generation Core i7 laptops.

He added that the merit for BS students will be set at 65%, and for medical students, it will be 80%. Merit will be determined based on intermediate marks. After the portal for the laptop scheme opened, over 34,000 students had already registered within a few hours.
