Pakistan and China have jointly introduced a five-point plan aimed at bringing peace and stability to the Gulf and the wider Middle East as tensions continue to rise due to the Iran-US conflict.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi, the proposal was discussed during a meeting in Beijing between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

The two sides also stressed the importance of starting peace negotiations without delay. They said dialogue and diplomacy remain the only practical way to resolve the growing conflict.
Pakistan and China also emphasized the need to ensure humanitarian aid reaches affected areas without obstacles. They said civilians suffering due to the war must receive urgent assistance.
Both countries highlighted the importance of respecting the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security of Iran as well as other Gulf states. They urged all sides to avoid the use or threat of force while negotiations are underway.
The joint proposal also called for protecting civilians and non-military infrastructure. Pakistan and China asked all parties to stop attacks on civilian targets and strictly follow international humanitarian law.
They further stressed the protection of critical facilities, including energy installations, desalination plants, power systems, and peaceful nuclear facilities that are vital for the region’s stability.
