Where does Pakistan stand in list of countries with most powerful passports?

LAHORE: (Web Desk) The list of the countries with the most powerful passports in the world has been released by the Henley Passport Index 2024.

Singapore has the most powerful passport according to the Henley Passport Index 2024. One who holds a Singaporean passport can travel to 195 countries and autonomous regions in the world without a visa.

France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Spain are second in the global ranking. Citizens of these countries can visit 192 countries without a visa.

Similarly, the passports of Australia, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, South Korea and Luxembourg are ranked third with visa-free entry to 191 countries around the world.

The ranking of the world’s most powerful passports is based on visa-free entry to most countries and data collection from the International Air Transport Association.

Britain, Belgium, Denmark, New Zealand, Norway and Switzerland are in the fourth position on the list of countries with the most powerful passports. Citizens of these countries can travel to 190 countries without a visa.

Pakistan ranks fourth from the bottom on the list of the most powerful passports as it stands 100th in the ranking. Along with Pakistan, Yemen, a country suffering from civil war, is also ranked 100th on the list.

After Pakistan, there are three countries with the weakest passports in the world. Iraq ranks 101st, Syria ranks 102nd and Afghanistan ranks 103rd in the list.

Visa-on-arrival facility is available to citizens of Pakistan in 33 countries while there are 13 countries where visa-free entry is granted to citizens of Pakistan.

There are 152 countries in the world where Pakistani citizens need a visa to visit.

On the other hand, India ranks 82nd, Bangladesh 97th, Iran 94th, China 59th and Maldives ranks 52nd in the list.
