NEW DELHI: (Suno News) Indian opposition leader Rahul Gandhi sent salutations to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) during his address to India’s lower house Lok Sabha and also quoted the Holy Quran which angered the parliamentarians of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Rahul Gandhi showed a mirror to the Modi government for its biased policies against minorities.

During his Lok Sabha speech, he sent salutations to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and said that all the great personalities around the world, including the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him), talked about non-violence and ending fear.

He slammed the BJP for spreading only hatred, fear and violence in the country, adding the government leaders claim to be Hindus but also spread hatred.

On this, the BJP members from the treasury benches raised their voices in protest and asked him to take back his words.

In the presence of extremist Hindu ministers, the leader of the opposition quoted Quranic teachings and said, "He (God) said, Have no fear! I Am with You, Hearing and Seeing."

During Rahul Gandhi s speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Home Minister Amit Shah stood on their seats and demanded the speaker to turn off the opposition leader s mic and delete the words.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi for his statement and said the opposition leader accused the entire Hindu community of violence.

On this, Rahul Gandhi said Narendra Modi and RSS are not the entire Hindu society.

In his speech, the opposition leader gave a message to the BJP that all the great personalities around the world, including Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), spoke of non-violence and ending fear.
