(Web Desk): US President Donald Trump said Iran would avoid another “Midnight Hammer”-like operation as negotiations continue, expressing hope for a diplomatic breakthrough.

US President Donald Trump has said that Iran would not want a repeat of the “Midnight Hammer” operation, expressing optimism that ongoing negotiations between the two sides will succeed.

Speaking to the media at the White House, President Trump said talks with Iran are currently underway following the “Midnight Hammer” operation carried out against Iranian targets. He added that there is hope the negotiation process will lead to positive results and reduce tensions in the region.

Trump stressed that the United States prefers resolving conflicts through dialogue rather than warfare. “Our priority is to settle disputes through negotiations instead of war,” he said, adding that diplomacy remains Washington’s first choice in dealing with international crises.

The US president also referred to domestic security issues, claiming that crime rates have dropped significantly after the deployment of security forces in Washington, DC. He said the measures had helped restore order and improve public safety in the capital.

Meanwhile, Trump revealed that the United States had shot down an Iranian drone that was moving toward a US naval fleet in the Arabian Sea. He described the action as defensive and necessary to protect American military assets in the region.

The president further said that the process of deporting criminal migrants from the United States is continuing, which he claimed has contributed to improved internal security and law enforcement.

Trump’s remarks come amid heightened regional tensions but renewed diplomatic efforts, with Washington signaling a willingness to pursue talks while maintaining a strong military posture.
