(Web Desk): Pakistan comes into global focus as crucial US-Iran talks begin in Islamabad with top-level participation.

Pakistan has become the center of global attention as high-level talks between the United States and Iran begin in Islamabad today.

According to details, following a recent ceasefire between the two countries, direct negotiations are now taking place in Pakistan with senior officials from both sides participating. US Vice President J D Vance is expected to arrive in Islamabad for the talks, accompanied by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump.

On the Iranian side, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf will represent their country. These discussions are being seen as crucial for reducing regional tensions and possibly reaching a significant agreement.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed hope for the success of the negotiations. He also visited the venue ahead of the talks to review security arrangements and ensure everything is in place for the high-profile diplomatic engagement.

Earlier, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker to discuss security and logistical preparations. Naqvi assured that the visiting US delegation would be treated as special guests with comprehensive security measures.

Meanwhile, the White House has stated that the talks will be held behind closed doors, emphasizing their sensitive nature, and that any agreement will align with US national interests.
