(Web Desk): French President Emmanuel Macron faced an unusual New York adventure when his car was trapped in heavy UN traffic.

The world leader was forced to step out of his vehicle and even tried calling former US President Donald Trump for help.

According to French outlet Brut, video footage showed Macron pleading with an NYPD officer to let his convoy through. The officer, clearly apologetic, told him: “I’m really sorry, Mr. President, everything is currently blocked.” Macron then asked if he could pass as long as Trump’s convoy was not nearby.

In a surprising twist, Macron was seen making a phone call, laughing as he said: “How are you? Guess what, I’m waiting in the street because everything is closed for you,” apparently speaking directly to Trump.

Unable to resolve the issue, Macron walked the next 30 minutes through the streets of Manhattan. Despite the awkwardness, he smiled, posed for selfies, and appeared to enjoy the attention from passersby.

In one bizarre moment, a man posing with Macron bent down and kissed him on the head, alarming security. But Macron quickly calmed his team, laughing and saying, “No, no, it’s okay, guys.”

The NYPD has not yet commented on the unusual incident that left one of Europe’s most powerful leaders stranded on the streets.

This rare incident turned into a viral spectacle. A world leader stranded in New York, calling Trump, walking the streets, and even being kissed by a stranger – it shows how quickly serious diplomacy can turn into a street-level comedy. Many now wonder if Macron’s calm reaction helped turn embarrassment into charm.
