This new feature is designed to fix a common frustration among users who often lose their status edits due to interruptions.
Now, WhatsApp will add a prompt in which they’ll ask the user whether the user to save the status as draft, discard it or to continue editing it when they will leave the status update screen midway.
If the user chooses to save it, the draft will automatically appear the next time they open the status editor.
This update makes it easier to return to longer or detailed updates without starting over.
The draft status will appear when users will open the status bar, they’ll be asked whether they want to edit draft or to add new one.
Many users share thoughts, photos, announcements, and business content through WhatsApp statuses.
These posts often take time to prepare, and losing progress has been a frequent issue. With the new draft option, users can resume exactly where they stopped.
