IT Ministry reveals 5G launch date in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The Ministry of Information Technology (IT) and Telecom has outlined a detailed timeline for the rollout of 5G services in Pakistan.

Official documents presented in Parliament reveal that the launching has been planned for telecom operators in June 2025. This means that telecom companies will begin launching 5G services across the country starting in July 2025.

The recommendations from a consultant to the Spectrum Advisory Committee are set to be submitted by February.

In March, the committee will finalize policy reforms regarding spectrum pricing, trading conditions, and taxation.

As per details, the federal government will approve a policy directive in April, followed by the auctioning of 3500 MHz, 2600 MHz, 2300 MHz, and 700 MHz spectrum bands in May.
