LAHORE (Web Desk): Google Pay is expected to be launched in Pakistan by mid-March 2025.

According to media reports, Google Pay is expected to be rolled out the services in upcoming March. Earlier, in November, it announced the launch of the services which will be facilitated through partnerships with Visa and Mastercard. As per report, with introduction of the service, the local banks will enable their cards to offer this feature.

Unlike the full range of Google Wallet features, this launch is specifically aimed at enabling Google’s contactless payment system in Pakistan. Users will be able to link their bank-issued debit and credit cards to Google Pay via the Google Wallet app.

The Google Wallet app will also be activated for the Pakistani market, allowing users to manage payments and digital passes, including boarding passes, among other things.
