(Web Desk): OnePlus has officially announced that its latest flagship, the OnePlus 15, will launch worldwide on 13 November.

This is a big change from its usual timeline. The phone first arrived in China on 27 October, and fans across the UK and US are expected to get it soon after.

Last year, the OnePlus 13 took over two months to reach global markets, landing in Europe and North America in January 2025. This year’s earlier schedule has sparked curiosity about what made OnePlus speed things up.

Possible companion: OnePlus 15R

Though not confirmed, the OnePlus 15 could launch alongside a more affordable sibling – the OnePlus 15R. This mid-range version is believed to be based on the Ace 6 model, which already launched in China.

Powerful specs and big battery boost

The OnePlus 15’s specs have already been revealed in China, and they’re impressive. It packs a massive 7,300mAh battery with 120W fast charging – a big jump from the 6,000mAh cell on the OnePlus 13. However, there’s a chance the global model might get slightly toned-down battery or charging specs.

New Snapdragon power and top-tier display

Inside, the OnePlus 15 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM. This promises one of the fastest performances on any Android phone so far.

It also features a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a blazing-fast 165Hz refresh rate, ensuring ultra-smooth visuals. The phone runs OxygenOS 16, based on Android 16, offering a clean and fluid software experience.

Camera redesign and fresh colours

On the back, you’ll find triple 50Mp lenses, including a 3x periscope telephoto camera. Although OnePlus has ended its Hasselblad partnership, it’s introducing its new “DetailMax Engine” for sharper and richer shots. The new camera design, however, might divide opinion among fans.

The OnePlus 15 comes in three eye-catching colours in China – Misty Purple, Original Sand Dune, and Absolute Black – and global fans are hoping to see all of them available.

What to expect from OnePlus 15R

If the OnePlus 15R joins the launch, it’s expected to feature the older Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 6.83-inch 165Hz screen, and an even larger 7,800mAh battery – perfect for those wanting power at a lower price.

This early global launch signals OnePlus’ ambition to take on Samsung and Apple head-on. The company’s focus on battery life, performance, and faster availability shows how serious it is about staying competitive in 2025. Fans are excited – and this might just be OnePlus’ strongest flagship lineup yet.
