(Web Desk): Huawei has taken the lead in the evolving foldable smartphone market by officially confirming its new passport-style foldable device, the Huawei Pura X Max, ahead of similar rumored offerings from Apple and Samsung.

The company announced that the Pura X Max will launch in China on April 20, alongside the Huawei Pura 90 Pro. The upcoming device is expected to build on the design of the earlier Pura X, which introduced a wide aspect ratio aimed at improving usability and multitasking.

Although Huawei has not revealed full display specifications, the Pura X Max is anticipated to feature larger and wider inner and outer screens compared to its predecessor. This design approach is expected to provide a more immersive viewing experience and enhanced functionality when folded or unfolded.

Huawei has already showcased the device’s design, revealing a sleek body with a triple rear camera setup arranged in a pill-shaped horizontal module. The smartphone also includes front-facing cameras on both the external and internal displays, offering flexibility for selfies and video calls.

According to Huawei’s official online store, the Pura X Max will be available in several color options, including Interstellar Blue, Olive Gold, Phantom Night Black, Vibrant Orange, and Zero Degree White.

The device will come in multiple configurations, offering 12GB RAM with 256GB or 512GB storage, and 16GB RAM with 512GB or 1TB storage. Pre-orders are already open, signaling strong anticipation ahead of its official release.

While complete specifications remain under wraps, the smartphone is expected to be powered by a Kirin 9030 series chipset, promising solid performance for a premium foldable device.
