Apple camera-equipped AirPods may let Siri see your world
The short video reportedly appeared in the macOS Tahoe 26.7 release candidate and refers to an unreleased Apple product carrying the codename B790.
In the demonstration, a person holds a book near the AirPods. The device appears to use a built-in camera to recognise the book and identify its title.
The video also points to Apple’s Visual Intelligence technology. This could allow Siri to understand what users are looking at without requiring them to pull out an iPhone.

AirPods could give Siri a view of the world
The leaked demonstration suggests the new AirPods could do more than play music or handle calls. Their cameras may allow Siri to identify objects and understand information in the user’s surroundings.
The voiceover says Visual Intelligence could make a person’s surroundings “savable”. This appears to mean that users could save information they notice in the real world and ask Siri about it later.
For example, the AirPods could potentially recognise an object, read visible text or provide information about something a user is looking at.

Apple reportedly working on camera-equipped AirPods
