(Web Desk): Pak Suzuki Motor Company has officially increased the prices of all its car models in Pakistan, effective July 1, 2025.

As a component of the Federal Budget 2025–26, the Government of Pakistan has increased the rate of sales tax from 12.5% to 18% and imposed a new NEV (New Enhanced Value) Levy on car sales. In reaction to these budgetary steps, Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has adjusted the retail prices of its entire vehicle lineup, with the revised prices being effective from July 1, 2025.

This adjustment in price directly results from the government s revised taxation model. The collective effect of the higher sales tax and the fresh levy on NEVs has increased the overall cost of car manufacturing and sales. As a result, automakers such as Suzuki have transferred the cost burden of these extra expenses to customers, resulting in evident price hikes on their best-selling vehicles.

Furthermore, unless incentives or relief measures are included in future policy changes, this move may also temporarily reduce vehicle demand, as consumers are already feeling the effects of inflation and economic pressures.
