Unlike earlier rumors pointing to an Exynos 1380 chip, Samsung Galaxy A17 will actually run on the Samsung Exynos 1330 chipset. It will be available in both 5G and 4G versions, according to a European retailer listing.

Specifications and Features

As per Android Headlines, the Galaxy A17 5G is set to be available in storage of 128GB accompanied by 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB RAM, and also a 256GB model with 8GB RAM. Storage can be expanded through microSD cards up to 2TB. The phone is 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.5 mm in size, weighs 192g, and has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080×2340 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The screen also has a peak brightness of up to 1,100 nits.

Camera and Battery

The rear camera system features a 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, it has a 13MP front camera. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.

Design and Durability

Compared to the previous one, the Galaxy A17 is thinner and lighter, now sporting OIS for enhanced photography and a new oval-shaped camera island design. The rear panel is constructed from glass fiber reinforced polymer, which is more resistant than the old "Glastic" material. The phone is also IP54-rated dust and splash resistant and guarantees six years of Android updates and security patches.

It will come in blue, black and gray colors with box packaging feature a 25W charger (available in some markets), USB Type-C cable, SIM ejector, and Quick Start Guide. Not a revolutionary new design, but the Galaxy A17 is to bring real upgrades in performance, ruggedness, and camera features.
