Instagram has now imposed a restriction on users, under which only those people who have at least 1,000 followers will be able to live stream on the photo-sharing app. Previously, anyone could live stream on Instagram, regardless of their number of followers.
In this regard, the company has sent a notice to users with few followers. This notice stated that your account is not eligible for live streaming. We have changed the ability to use this feature. Now only public accounts with 1,000 or more followers can create live videos.

The company confirmed in a statement that this was not a bug but rather something the company did itself.
According to Instagram, the change is aimed at improving the live streaming experience. However, users with fewer followers did not like this change much, while users with more than 1,000 followers but whose accounts are private will no longer be able to live stream.
Interestingly, this change by Instagram also seems to be influenced by TikTok. Even on TikTok, only users who have a certain number of followers can live stream.
On the other hand, accounts with at least 100 followers on Facebook are allowed to live stream, while on YouTube, accounts with just 50 subscribers can live stream.
