(Web Desk): Capital Smart Motors is set to launch the all-electric JMEV Elight sedan in Pakistan, marking a major step toward eco-friendly urban mobility.

In a notable development for Pakistan’s electric vehicle (EV) sector, Capital Smart Motors (CSM) is preparing to introduce the all-electric JMEV Elight sedan to the local market. The move signals growing momentum in the country’s transition toward cleaner and more sustainable transportation options.

CSM has been building anticipation on social media, promoting the Elight as a “coupe-inspired” sedan with a “futuristic silhouette.” The company promises the vehicle is “coming soon to Pakistan,” offering a sleek, modern design aimed at urban consumers looking for eco-friendly yet stylish mobility.

According to specifications published on the JMEV website, the Elight features advanced elements such as adaptive LED headlamps with intelligent high/low beam adjustment, retractable electric door handles, and a lightweight steel-aluminum hybrid body designed for enhanced performance and safety. With a drag coefficient of just 0.267Cd, the Elight emphasizes aerodynamic efficiency.

The sedan is positioned as a premium offering in the compact EV category, combining ecological design with cutting-edge functionality. Its elegant look and efficient performance are expected to appeal to city drivers in Pakistan looking for clean-energy alternatives.

It is worth noting that in April 2025, Capital Smart Motors signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chinese automotive giant Geely. This strategic partnership aims to bring high-quality New Energy Vehicle (NEV) brands to Pakistan, with the JMEV Elight leading the charge.
