
The final took place at the DHA Creek Club in Karachi, where Noor Zaman staged a spectacular comeback after trailing 0-2, eventually securing victory in three consecutive sets. Overwhelmed with emotion, he was seen in tears after the win.
Speaking to the media after lifting the trophy, Noor Zaman said, “I worked really hard for this victory, and by the grace of Allah, I have been rewarded for my efforts. I thank Allah for this success.”
He added, “I had decided not to take any pressure during the match. When I was down 0-2, I focused on my game and told myself to fight until the end. This victory is an honor for all of Pakistan.”
In recognition of his performance, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah congratulated Noor Zaman, praising his skill and composure. “It was an exciting match and truly enjoyable to watch. Noor Zaman played brilliantly to secure the title,” he said.
Earlier in the semi-final, Noor Zaman had defeated Malaysia’s Chandaran, while Karim El-Torkey advanced to the final by beating fellow Egyptian Ibrahim El-Kabbani 3-1 in the other semi-final.
