Muhammad Asif reaches Quarter Final of World Games Snooker

BEIJING (Web Desk): Pakistani cueist Muhammad Asif has reached Quarter Final of ongoing World Games Snooker in China.

During the World Games Snooker event, Muhammad Asif defeated China s Xiaolong Liang in the first group match.

After which China s Liang Xiaolong also lost his second match in Group B. The Chinese player was defeated by Muhammad Asif in the morning and by Germany s Alexander Widau in the evening.

Liang Xiaolong was eliminated from the quarter-final race after losing both of his group matches, while Mohammad Asif and Germany s Widau from Group B made it to the top 8.

Muhammad Asif will play his last match in the group today against Alexander Widau. It should be noted that 2 players from each group of 3 players will make it to the quarterfinals.

It is important to remember that Pakistani Cueist has won several titles including IBSF Team Snooker Championship and World Amateur Championship. Asif has also played in world Snooker Tour after earning a two-year card by qualifying through the first event of the Asia-Oceania 2022 Q School.

Asif has also been awarded Pride of Performance by the Government of Pakistan in 2015.
