(Web Desk): Pakistani gaming prodigy Arslan "Ash" Siddique has won his sixth Evolution Championship Series (EVO) title in Las Vegas showdown on Monday.

The Lahore-born champion initially hit the headlines in 2019 by taking home the Tekken 7 championship in Japan and also the EVO Championship the same year in the US. He followed it up by finishing third at EVO 2022, before regaining his form with wins at EVO Japan 2023 and EVO 2024, his fifth title before this one.

This year s EVO, conducted from August 1–3 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre, Arslan faced fellow Pakistani and ex-teammate Atif Butt in the grand final. In an intense battle, Ash played Nina Williams, while Butt selected her in-game sister Anna Williams, a moment EVO called "greatness on another level" on X.

Posting about his journey on Instagram, Ash wrote: "Six EVO titles. What began as a kid grinding in gaming arcades turned into something I never thought possible. I m feeling so blessed and grateful in victory. This is for Pakistan."

Runner-up Butt expressed mixed emotions, saying, “Just like last year’s EVO final, I’m in second place again. Still, I’m thankful for all the support.” Japan’s Yuta “Chikurin” Take claimed third place in this tournament.

EVO remains the world’s biggest fighting game tournament, attracting elite players from across the globe each year in popular fighting games like Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Super Smash Bros. It is held annually, usually in Las Vegas, USA.
