Barcelona (Web Desk): Isack Hadjar crashes a Red Bull car in wet F1 testing, raising early concerns as the young driver faces difficult conditions on day two.

Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar crashed his car during the second day of Formula 1 pre-season testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The incident happened in wet and slippery conditions.

The 21-year-old French driver lost control at the fast final corner of the track and hit the barriers. He was driving the new Red Bull car during a private test session.

Hadjar was promoted to Red Bull’s senior team for 2026 after only one season in Formula 1. The crash came as a surprise, especially as teams are focused on collecting data rather than pushing limits.

Eyewitnesses said the crash happened on Hadjar’s first lap after switching from full wet tyres to intermediate tyres. The track was still damp, and light rain made conditions risky.

The car spun and hit the barrier backwards. The test is being held behind closed doors, with no independent media access. Red Bull has not officially commented on the crash.

Team principal Laurent Mekies said: “It was very tricky conditions this afternoon, so very unfortunate that it finished that way, but its part of the game.”

He added that Hadjar had a strong start to testing. “These difficulties came after a very, very positive day yesterday in terms of the number of laps Isack could complete in the car.”

Mekies said the team will work quickly to fix the car and continue the program. “We will try our best to repair the car and see what’s coming next.”
