LAHORE (Web Desk): Derby County held Birmingham City to a draw in a fiery match, despite playing most of the game with 10 men after a red card drama.

Derby County took the lead in the 27th minute when Patrick Agyemang finished a swift counter-attack to stun the home crowd at St Andrew’s. The visitors’ task became harder just before half-time when Joe Ward was sent off after receiving his second yellow card, forcing Derby to play over half the match with one man fewer.

Birmingham pushed forward after the break and finally equalized through Jack Robinson, although the goal looked controversial as the ball appeared to hit his arm before crossing the line.

The match remained tense and heated, with challenges flying in and tempers rising on both sides. Birmingham captain Christoph Klarer was fortunate to avoid a second yellow earlier in the half.

Late drama followed in stoppage time when Klarer was eventually sent off for a high-footed challenge, leaving Birmingham also reduced to 10 men. Birmingham came close to snatching a winner, hitting the woodwork late on, but their winless run stretched to five matches as they failed to find a breakthrough.

Despite frustration over Ward’s dismissal, Derby were the happier side at full-time, earning a valuable point after defending bravely with a numerical disadvantage.
