Belgium thrashes USA 4-1 in goal-filled clash

Belgium started very strongly and scored a goal early in the game, just 9 minutes in. This gave them a good start and put pressure on the American team right away.

The USA did not give up. They fought back and scored a goal of their own, making the score 1-1. The fans were excited because it looked like the U.S. could compete with a strong team like Belgium.

But Belgium quickly answered back. Just two minutes after the U.S. scored, Belgium found the net again to take the lead 2-1. Then, in the second half, Belgium scored a third goal to make it 3-1, showing they were clearly the better team on this day.

The United States had the ball more than Belgium during the match, but they could not turn that possession into more goals. Their strikers, Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun, tried hard but could not find a way past the Belgian defense, led by star goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Right at the end of the game, in stoppage time, Belgium scored a fourth goal to seal the win. The final score was 4-1 in favor of Belgium.
