Dubai (Web Desk): T20 World Cup prize money revealed as Pakistan receives $522,692 while champions India secure the biggest payout from the ICC.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the full prize money distribution for teams that participated in the T20 World Cup 2026. According to the details, a total of about $11.25 million was shared among the 20 teams that competed in the global cricket tournament.

India, which won the T20 World Cup title for a record third time, received the largest share of the prize money. The team defeated New Zealand by 96 runs in the final and earned $2,639,423 as the champion reward.

New Zealand, which finished as the runner-up, received $1,422,692 for reaching the final. Teams that reached the semi-finals also received significant prize money based on their performance. South Africa earned $1,005,577, while England received $974,423.

Among other teams, West Indies received $538,269 in prize money. Pakistan was awarded $522,692 for its performance in the tournament. Zimbabwe also impressed during the competition and received $491,538, while Sri Lanka earned $475,962.

Three teams, the United States, Australia, and Afghanistan, each received $309,808. Scotland earned $278,654, while Ireland received $271,731.

Italy, which participated in the T20 World Cup for the first time, secured its first victory in the tournament by defeating Nepal. For its performance, Italy received $256,154. The Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and Nepal also received the same amount.

Meanwhile, Canada, Namibia, and Oman each received a base payment of $225,000 for their participation in the event.

According to the ICC, teams were not only paid a basic participation amount but also received additional bonuses depending on how many matches they won and how far they advanced in the tournament. This system ensures that stronger performances during the competition are rewarded with higher earnings.
