Lahore (Web Desk): Islamabad United beat Quetta Gladiators by 8 wickets in PSL 11 after chasing 184 runs with ease at Gaddafi Stadium.

In the ninth match of Pakistan Super League season 11, Islamabad United completed the 184-run target comfortably with just two wickets down. The team achieved the target in the 19th over on the second ball, showing strong control throughout the chase.

The victory was powered by brilliant performances from Samir Minhas and captain Shadab Khan. Samir Minhas played a key role by scoring 83 runs from 48 balls, setting the foundation for the chase.

Shadab Khan led from the front and remained unbeaten with 69 runs from 39 balls. His confident batting ensured that Islamabad United stayed on track and finished the match smoothly.

Devon Conway scored 18 runs, while Andries Gous managed only two runs before getting out. However, their contributions were enough as the main batters carried the team to victory.

For Quetta Gladiators, Abrar Ahmed took both wickets, but the bowling attack failed to stop Islamabad’s strong batting lineup.

Earlier in the match, Quetta Gladiators had set a target of 184 runs after batting first. The team scored 183 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs.

Hasan Nawaz was the top performer for Quetta, scoring an unbeaten 66 runs from 36 balls, including three sixes and six fours. Captain Saud Shakeel added 42 runs, while Shemail Hussain scored 21 and Khawaja Nafi made 18.

Ben Dermott scored three runs and Bhuvan Jacobs was dismissed without scoring. Tom Curran remained not out with 29 runs from 22 balls, helping Quetta reach a competitive total.

For Islamabad United, Shadab Khan also impressed with the ball by taking three wickets. Salman Irshad and Imad Wasim picked up one wicket each.

Despite Quetta’s solid total, Islamabad United’s strong batting performance made the chase look easy and secured them a convincing win.
