The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the valuation process of Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise teams and other related assets has been completed.
According to a statement issued by PCB, the cricket body has finalized the list of six cities after the board received valuation reports for the new teams. The tender process for the sale of ownership rights will begin soon.
PCB has issued offers to all eligible PSL franchises for the renewal of their agreements for the next ten years, with revised franchise fees. Teams have been asked to inform the PSL management of their decisions within the stipulated deadline.
Pakistan’s cricket franchise is moving forward with its expansion plan, with the PCB confirming that it has received independent valuation reports for two new franchises. This is the first major step toward adding teams to the league for the first time since 2017.
The PCB said the valuations were completed by EY MENA, the same firm that assessed the current PSL franchises. With this phase finished, the board will now open the tender process for buyers interested in owning the new teams.

The PCB has also released the list of six cities that bidders can choose from:
- Hyderabad
- Sialkot
- Muzaffarabad
- Faisalabad
- Gilgit
- Rawalpindi
These cities have been under consideration for several years, with strong public demand for representation from regions such as Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Rawalpindi. Cities like Gilgit and Muzaffarabad offer newer markets and the chance to expand the league’s reach.
Once the process begins, the final selection of two cities will be made based on bids and franchise interest. The expansion is expected to reshape the PSL’s team lineup, widen its fan base, and add new competitive matchups to the tournament.
For the PCB, completing the valuation marks a key milestone in strengthening the league’s financial structure. For fans, it signals that two new PSL teams are now closer than ever.
