LAHORE (Web Desk): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced an “exceptional and encouraging” response to its tender for two new Pakistan Super League (PSL) teams, with 12 parties submitting bids before the deadline.

The PCB official said that bidders come from five continents, including the United States (USA), Australia, Canada, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Pakistan, showing the league’s rising international appeal.

Pakistan-based solar company Inverex Power Solution confirmed it will also bid for one of the new franchises.

PCB said the initial phase results will be announced on December 27, after which bidders meeting technical requirements will move to an open competition stage.

The open bidding is scheduled for January 8 at the Islamabad Convention Centre, where qualified parties will compete to acquire the two new teams.

The PCB assured that the process will be fully transparent and competitive, following international standards, to support the long-term growth and expansion of the PSL.
