LAHORE (Web Desk): Pakistan’s likely 15-member squad for the ACC Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 has been announced.

The tournaments will take place in Qatar from November 14 to 23, with eight featuring teams including Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, and Hong Kong.

Irfan Khan Niazi is expected to lead the team, which features young and promising players like Maaz Sadaqat, Arafat Minhas, Ubaid Shah, and Mohammad Salman.

Group A includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. Group B has Pakistan, India, UAE, and Oman.

Pakistan will start their campaign against Oman on November 14, followed by UAE on November 18. The highly anticipated Pakistan-India match is scheduled for November 16.

This edition will use a straight knockout format, unlike the senior men’s Asia Cup Super Four stage, meaning the top two teams from each group will go directly to the semi-finals. There’s even a chance for Pakistan and India to meet twice — once in the group stage and again in the final.

Afghanistan enters the tournament as the defending champions, having beaten Sri Lanka in the 2024 final held in Al Amerat, Oman.
