RAWALPINDI (Web Desk): Pakistan claimed a comfortable 9-wicket win over South Africa in the second T20 match, thanks to an explosive unbeaten knock by Saim Ayub.

Saim Ayub dazzled the crowd with a brilliant 71 not out off just 38 balls, smashing 5 sixes and 6 fours. Captain Babar Azam remained unbeaten on 11 runs, while Sahibzada Farhan contributed 28 off 23 balls before being dismissed. South Africa’s only wicket came from Corbin Bosch.

Batting first, South Africa could not handle Pakistan’s fiery bowling attack and were bowled out for just 110 runs in 19.2 overs at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Pakistan’s captain Salman Agha had invited the visitors to bat first.

The Proteas’ batting lineup crumbled early, losing their first wicket with no runs on the board when opener Reeza Hendricks was dismissed by Salman Mirza. At 12 runs, Quinton de Kock fell for 7, caught by Salman Agha off Naseem Shah’s bowling. Tony de Zorzi managed just 7 runs, while Dewald Brevis was the top scorer with 25. Captain Donovan Ferreira made 15, while George Linde and Nandre Burger both added 9 runs each. Bosch scored 11, and Bartman contributed 12 before the team was bowled out.

Pakistan’s bowlers shone brightly, with Faheem Ashraf taking 4 wickets, Salman Mirza grabbing 3, Naseem Shah taking 2, and Abrar Ahmed adding 1 wicket to his tally.

Pakistan comfortably chased the target with ease, wrapping up the match in style and taking a strong lead in the series.

Pakistan’s performance showed complete dominance in both bowling and batting. Saim Ayub’s aggressive innings once again proved his growing confidence as a top-order batter. The team’s bowlers worked as a unit, breaking South Africa’s rhythm early. Analysts believe this win will boost Pakistan’s morale ahead of future T20 challenges.
