Lahore (Web Desk): Multan Sultans asserted their dominance in the 2026 PSL, clinching a comprehensive six-wicket victory over Quetta Gladiators at the Gaddafi Stadium on April 5.

The win is achieved with 15 balls to spare, marks a significant surge for the Sultans in the tournament standings.

After opting to bowl, Multan's attack, led by a resurgent Mohammad Nawaz (3/30), restricted Quetta to 166/7. While Gladiators’ skipper Saud Shakeel anchored the innings with 56, and Bevon Jacobs added a late fireworks display with an unbeaten 49, the target proved insufficient against Multan's depth.

The chase was a masterclass in calculated aggression. Steve Smith provided the backbone with a steady 53, while Shan Masood’s brisk 46 set a solid platform. Earlier, Sahibzada Farhan had electrified the powerplay with a rapid 32 off just 14 balls.

Despite a late flurry of wickets from Arafat Minhas, Multan cruised to 167/4 in the 18th over. The victory reinforces the Sultans as title favorites, leaving Quetta to regroup before their next encounter.
