Sourav Ganguly backs India-Pakistan clash in Asia Cup

(Web Desk): Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly has backed the India-Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup.

Talking to Indian media, Sourav Ganguly said that an incident like Pahalgam should not happen, sports should continue, terrorism should not happen and it must be stopped.

Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Sourav Ganguly, said that India has taken a tough stance on terrorism, but sports should be allowed to happen.

He said that it is okay for me to have Pakistan and India in the same group in the Asia Cup.

It should be noted that the Asia Cup schedule was announced on Saturday. Pakistan, India, UAE and Oman have been included in Group A, while Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong are included in Group B.

Pakistan and India can face each other a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 times in the event. The Asia Cup will begin in the UAE on September 9, while the first group match between Pakistan and India will be held on September 14.

After the announcement of the schedule, the Indian media has slammed its board and the government.

Like the World Champions League, there are calls to boycott the match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup as well. The decision to play against Pakistan is also being criticized by former Indian players.
