LAHORE: (Suno News) Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has blamed bad bowling and fielding for the defeat in the first T20I against Ireland.

In a press conference after the match, he said the team did not follow the plan, adding the team did not start well in the first six overs.

“The pitch was double paced. 190 was a suitable score for a win on this pitch, but we lost the match due to bowling,” he said.

“I think we lost the match because of some bowling and fielding mistakes. We didn’t follow our plan, and we played attacking cricket in the first six overs but couldn’t finish it,” he added.

It is to be noted here that Ireland defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the first T20I of the three-match series to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Shaheen took two wickets while Abbas Afridi, Imad Wasim, and Naseem Shah took one wicket each.
