Due to non-compliance with selectors  instructions, Shaheen Afridi has been excluded from the playing XI. As per sources, the selector had directed Shaheen to participate in a four-day match before the announcement of the Test squad. However, Shaheen was unable to fulfill this directive for unspecified reasons.

This act was deemed as defiance of orders, leading to his exclusion from the Test squad. Interestingly, former captain Babar Azam had also received similar instructions but managed to secure his place in the squad.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, who played a crucial role in the team s success during the ODI series by claiming seven wickets, was equally determined to contribute in red-ball cricket. The decision to leave him out of the squad deeply upset him, and he even offered his availability for the Test matches if needed.
