The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made an exciting announcement that is set to capture the attention of cricket lovers worldwide. Officials revealed that Pakistan is working to organize a tri-nation T20 series, involving Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, in November.
Sources inside the board confirmed that Afghanistan has already expressed strong interest in participating. At the same time, talks are ongoing with the Sri Lankan cricket board, which is already scheduled to tour Pakistan in November for a white-ball series of three ODIs and three T20 matches.
PCB is considering converting this bilateral tour into a full-fledged tri-nation contest. The proposed plan is to host the tournament right after Pakistan’s home series against South Africa, which ends on 8 November with the final ODI in Faisalabad.
Discussions among the three cricket boards are still underway. Officials hinted that the proposed window for the tri-series will be from 15 to 30 November. Final confirmation will be made once negotiations are complete.
Cricket analysts believe this move could boost Pakistan’s cricketing calendar, add commercial value, and provide fans with thrilling clashes among three competitive teams. With Afghanistan’s rising talent and Sri Lanka’s unpredictable form, the tri-nation event promises to be a must-watch extravaganza.
