RAWALPINDI: (Suno News) Cricket fans witnessed fireworks in Rawalpindi as Islamabad United set a giant target of 244 runs for Peshawar Zalmi in the fifth match of PSL Season 10, turning the heat up in the tournament.

Batting first at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Islamabad United smashed 243 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs, thanks to a blistering century by opener Sahibzada Farhan, who scored 106 off just 52 balls, hitting 13 fours and 5 sixes. He was well-supported by Colin Munro (40), Agha Salman (30), and Jason Holder (20 not out). Ben Dwarshuis also chipped in with an unbeaten 18 runs.

For Peshawar Zalmi, Alzarri Joseph and Hussain Talat claimed 2 wickets each, but couldn’t stop the run flow.

Captain Shadab Khan led Islamabad United, while Babar Azam captained Peshawar Zalmi.

In the teams’ previous outings, Islamabad United defeated Lahore Qalandars, while Peshawar Zalmi suffered a loss to Quetta Gladiators — making this match a must-win for Zalmi.
