PCB announces Test squad for Bangladesh series
Pakistan cricketers return to pavilion after a Test match.
LAHORE: (Suno News) The selection committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 17-member Pakistan squad for the ICC Test Championship series against Bangladesh.

According to the details, Shaan Masood will be the captain in the Test series against Bangladesh while Saud Shakeel will be the vice-captain. Other players include Amir Jamal, Abdullah Shafiq, and Abrar Ahmed.

Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Huraira, and Mohammad Rizwan are also part of the national squad.

Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Sarfraz Ahmed and Shaheen Shah Afridi are also part of the 17-member squad.

It is to be noted here that the first Test match of the Pak-Bangladesh series will be played from August 21 to 25 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The second Test of the series will be played in Karachi from August 30 to September 3.

The training camp of the Pakistan Test squad will start on August 11 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Head coach Jason Gillespie and assistant coach Azhar Mehmood will oversee the camp.

This is Jason Gillespie’s first Test series as the Red Ball head coach of Pakistan. The Bangladesh Test team will arrive in Islamabad on the morning of August 17 and is expected to train in the afternoon on the same day.
