ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be taken out of Pakistan – Here’s its next destination
ICC Champions Trophy
(Web Desk) The ICC Champions Trophy’s highly anticipated tour in Pakistan has come to an end as it will travel to Afghanistan, its next destination.

The Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to be held in Pakistan in February-March, but the prestigious tournament has been marred by tensions over India s denial to travel to Pakistan for political gains and Pakistan s refusal of the proposed hybrid model for the event.

The ICC Champions Trophy’s journey through Pakistan has been welcomed as it visited cities like Islamabad, Murree, Nathia Gali, Abbottabad, Khanpur Dam, Taxila, and Karachi. Its tour in Pakistan has ended with its final destination at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Headquarters in Lahore.

The trophy’s departure marks the end of its Pakistan leg, with its next stop in Afghanistan from November 26 to 28.

Afterwards, it will make its way to Bangladesh (December 10-13) and South Africa (December 15-22) before traveling to South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and England in the coming months, with India set to be its final destination from January 15 to 26.

During the Champions Trophy’s departure tour to Pakistan, the spotlight remained firmly on the ongoing tussle between the PCB and BCCI. Despite the controversy, the trophy is set to continue its global tour.

Meanwhile, amid the ICC Champions Trophy tour, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied reports of an emergency board meeting set to take place virtually on November 26 to discuss the ongoing issues surrounding the Champions Trophy 2025.

It is being speculated that the International Cricket Council (ICC) was planning a meeting to resolve the standoff between the PCB and BCCI, but Pakistan has refuted these claims.
