The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a major digital convenience for citizens, allowing residents of Punjab to register important life events from home through its Pak-ID mobile application. NADRA has signed an agreement with the Punjab Department of Local Government to streamline civil registration services.
Under the new arrangement, all vital life events—including births, deaths, marriages, and divorces—can be registered at respective Union Councils, while related certificates can be obtained directly through the Pak-ID mobile app. The agreement was signed by Secretary Local Government Punjab, Mian Shakeel Ahmed, and DG NADRA Lahore Region, Ms. Fizza Shahid.
In a separate development, NADRA has also announced revised operating hours for its centres in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for the winter season of 2025. The new timings came into effect on November 19. Regional head offices and zonal offices operating five days a week will remain open from 8:30am to 4:30pm , while registration centres working on the same schedule will function in a single shift from 9am to 5pm.

Meanwhile, NADRA has issued an advisory for parents, urging them to update their children’s B-Forms once they turn three. The previous B-Form expires at age three, making a new photo B-Form mandatory for school admissions and official records. Parents can update the B-Form by visiting a NADRA office or by applying easily through the Pak-ID mobile app.
