The Meteorological Department has warned of rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds in upper areas between March 6 and March 11, while plains are likely to remain dry with rising temperatures.
According to officials, rain is expected in two phases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. The first spell is predicted between March 6 and 7, followed by a second spell from March 9 to 11. In the federal capital Islamabad, as well as Murree, the Galiyat region, and the Potohar area, rain is likely on March 10 and 11.
While upper regions may receive rainfall, plains across Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northern Balochistan are expected to experience dry conditions with temperatures rising up to 8 degrees Celsius above normal levels. Meteorologists say the sharp increase in heat could make daytime conditions uncomfortable for residents.

In Sindh and southern Balochistan, heat intensity is also expected to rise, with temperatures possibly increasing by up to 7 degrees Celsius above seasonal averages.
Weather experts have advised farmers and citizens to take precautionary measures due to the sudden change in weather patterns and rising temperatures. Farmers are encouraged to protect crops from possible weather impacts, while residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
Authorities say monitoring of weather conditions will continue, and updates will be issued if there are any significant changes.
