(Web Desk): Meteorological Department forecasts scattered rain in several areas while most regions will remain dry over the next 24 hours.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued important weather forecasts for the next 24 hours, predicting rainfall in some regions while most areas are expected to remain dry. Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions, especially in hilly and low-lying areas.

Islamabad and northern regions:

The federal capital, Islamabad, will experience partly cloudy skies, with light rain expected at a few locations. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts are likely to remain dry; however, isolated rainfall may occur in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kalam, Buner, Malakand, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Balakot, Haripur, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Kurram, Sawabi, Charsadda, Kohat, and Hangu.

Punjab forecast:

Most of Punjab is predicted to have dry weather, though rain may occur in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, and Narowal. Some areas may experience thunderstorms along with rainfall, which could affect local traffic and outdoor activities.

Sindh and Balochistan outlook:

Weather in Sindh and Balochistan is expected to remain largely dry, with heat intensity continuing in most districts. Authorities have warned that high temperatures may persist due to the lack of rainfall.

Safety advice:

The Meteorological Department urged citizens to exercise caution during rainfall, especially in hilly areas prone to landslides and low-lying regions at risk of waterlogging. Travelers are advised to monitor weather updates to avoid accidents and disruptions.
