Pakistan weather update has brought welcome news for residents as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more rain in several parts of the country. Islamabad and Lahore are expected to continue receiving intermittent rainfall, while Karachi may experience light drizzle at isolated locations.

In Lahore, light to heavy rain has continued at intervals since last night, making the weather pleasant. Cool winds have lowered temperatures, with the maximum expected to reach 27°C. Humidity is likely to remain high at around 88 percent, while winds may blow at speeds of up to 11km/h.

Islamabad is also likely to receive intermittent rain throughout the day and into tomorrow. The current temperature is around 23°C and may rise to 30°C during the afternoon. Weather officials said rainfall over the past four days has significantly reduced temperatures in the federal capital. Winds of around 14km/h are expected, with humidity remaining above 61 percent.

The PMD has also predicted rain with thunderstorms in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where wet weather is expected to continue over the next day.

Meanwhile, Karachi is expected to remain partly cloudy, with a chance of light drizzle in a few areas. The city’s maximum temperature is forecast to reach 36°C, while the minimum was recorded at 29°C. Southwesterly winds are blowing at around 8km/h, and humidity stands at 78 percent. Air quality has also remained satisfactory, with pollution levels staying below 100 particulate meters.
