The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a mixed weather forecast for the country, with hot conditions expected in several cities and rain likely in some regions.

Lahore is expected to remain mostly clear today, with no significant chance of rain. The temperature is forecast to reach 33°C, while the minimum could fall to 22°C.

Karachi will remain hot and humid, with temperatures expected to reach between 33°C and 35°C. The current temperature was recorded at around 29°C, with humidity at 71%.

The PMD’s latest Lahore observations also showed no rainfall recorded in Punjab early on Friday.

Rain chances in several regions

Islamabad and Rawalpindi are expected to remain hot and partly cloudy, although rain is possible in the twin cities. Rain is also expected in parts of Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Recent PMD forecasts have also indicated scattered rain and thunderstorms across parts of these regions as weather systems continue to affect the country.

Balochistan remains hot

Most districts of Balochistan are likely to experience hot and dry weather. However, rain is possible in Zhob, Musakhel and Barkhan.

Temperatures are expected to reach 32°C in Quetta, 28°C in Kalat, 23°C in Ziarat, 32°C in Zhob, 39°C in Sibi and 42°C in Turbat.

Nok Kundi may reach 39°C, while Chaman is expected to record 33°C. Coastal areas such as Gwadar and Jiwani may see temperatures of 32°C and 33°C respectively.
