Monsoon’s seventh spell brings rain alert across Punjab
The seventh spell of the monsoon has entered the country, increasing the chances of intermittent rainfall in Lahore and several districts of Punjab over the next two days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Lahore may receive rain during the afternoon as cloudy conditions are expected to continue across the city.
Lahore weather forecast
The weather department has forecast partly cloudy to cloudy conditions in Lahore during the coming two days, with intermittent showers possible at different times.
The minimum temperature in the city is expected to remain around 28°C, while the maximum temperature could reach 36°C.
The combination of high temperatures and increased humidity may make the weather feel warmer and more uncomfortable, particularly during the daytime.
Humidity reaches 76%
The current temperature in Lahore has been recorded at 31°C, while the humidity level has reached 76%.
High humidity can make outdoor conditions feel hotter and may increase discomfort for people working or travelling outside.
Rain may bring temporary relief
The expected showers could provide temporary relief from the heat and may lower temperatures in some areas. However, sudden rainfall can also affect traffic and daily activities, particularly in low-lying areas.
Residents have been advised to remain alert to changing weather conditions and follow official weather updates, especially during periods of heavy rain.
The latest forecast suggests that cloudy skies and intermittent showers will remain a key feature of Lahore’s weather as the new monsoon spell continues to affect Punjab.
