Lahore weather: rain chances rise amid hot spell
Lahore is expected to remain warm and humid on Monday, with partly cloudy skies and a 30% chance of rain during the day. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said sunny and cloudy conditions may alternate across the city.
The temperature was recorded at 32°C, while the maximum is expected to reach 34°C and the minimum may remain around 26°C. Humidity stood at 72%, with winds blowing at around 8 kilometres per hour.
The weather outlook suggests that rain may occur in some parts of Lahore, although conditions are expected to remain generally warm. Recent forecasts also indicate the possibility of isolated thunderstorms in the city.
Karachi weather outlook
Meanwhile, Karachi could receive rain and thunderstorms as a weather system affects parts of Sindh. The PMD has forecast light rain and thunderstorms in Karachi between September 14 and 16, with occasional gaps.
Despite the possibility of rain, Karachi will remain hot and humid. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 38°C to 40°C, while heat intensity may feel considerably higher in some areas.
The developing weather system could bring temporary relief from the heat, but residents in both cities are advised to remain prepared for sudden changes in weather.
