Lahore heat rises as weather department issues fresh forecast
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued an updated weather forecast for Lahore, warning of rising heat intensity across the city as summer conditions continue to strengthen.
According to the latest advisory, temperatures in Lahore are expected to reach a maximum of around 38 degrees Celsius. While the heat is increasing, meteorologists noted that partly cloudy skies may still appear in some areas during the day.
Light winds are also expected to continue, blowing at a speed of around 6 kilometers per hour, which may provide limited relief from the rising temperatures. However, overall weather conditions are likely to remain hot and dry.
The weather department confirmed that there is no chance of rainfall in Lahore today. Officials further added that the dry spell is expected to continue for the next several days, keeping daytime temperatures high and uncomfortable for residents.
Authorities have advised citizens to take necessary precautions, especially during peak afternoon hours, to avoid heat-related health issues. People are encouraged to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during intense sunshine.
Seasonal weather patterns indicate that the region is gradually transitioning into a hotter phase, which is typical for this time of year. Experts say that such conditions are likely to persist unless a significant weather system enters the region.
Meanwhile, similar heatwave-like conditions have been reported in other parts of South Asia, where rising temperatures have affected daily life and increased energy demand.
The weather department continues to monitor the situation closely and will issue updates if any significant changes occur in atmospheric conditions over the coming days.
